Several parts of a residential building collapsed in the town of Sarba north of Beirut overnight, injuring one person, media reports said Sunday. Two floors of the building, which lies on the main road, were damaged in the collapse, they said. The Civil Service Department evacuated the building’s residents, the reports added. Three students were killed and seven others injured in March when part of a cliff collapsed at the Bhanine school in the northern Minieh-Dinniyeh district. However, the deadliest incident was when a building in Beirut’s Ashrafiyeh neighborhood collapsed in January, killing 27 people.
