The Israeli war on besieged Gaza Strip has rendered 200,000 Palestinians homeless. United Nations (UN) Office of the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Palestinian Occupied Territories (OCHA) released the alarming figures.
OCHA officials said that 165,548 homeless Palestinians have found refuge on 96 schools belonging to The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). They added that a further 9,000 homeless Palestinians are sheltered in 13 other schools and government departments, while 13,000 others found refuge in host families.
