Israeli gunboats have opened fire on a Palestinian fishing boat off Rafah coast of the besieged Gaza Strip on Monday.
Local sources said the Israeli occupation gunboats opened random fire at the fishermen off Gaza coasts, but no injuries were reported.
The Israeli occupation forces have on numerous occasions violated a ceasefire agreement signed on August 26, following the latest Israeli military aggression against the Gaza Strip. Nearly 2,140 Palestinians were killed and thousands others injured in the summer onslaught.
Under the ceasefire agreement, Israel said it would immediately expand the fishing zone off Gaza’s coast and allow fishermen to sail as far as six nautical miles from shore. The Israeli military actions have significantly damaged Gaza’s fishing industry.
