Syrian Ambassador to Russia Riad Haddad said a delegation of the armed Syrian opposition to the Astana negotiations will take part in the Geneva negotiations to take place next month.
Russia Today quoted Haddad as saying that the government is ready to negotiate with the armed opposition and supports, along with Russia and Iran, the participation of the armed opposition which has joined the truce in Syria and is taking part in Astana negotiations.
The Syrian diplomat, who is member of the Syrian government's delegation to Astana negotiations, said the importance of the armed opposition's participation in the Geneva dialogue is expected to be stated in the Astana negotiations's final declaration.
Astana negotiations began Monday morning with the participation of delegations of the Syrian government and the armed opposition.
