KATSINA, Nigeria - UPI
Food poisoning has killed 10 secondary school teachers and hospitalized several others in the northern Nigeria town of Katsina, officials said. The teachers became ill shortly after eating lunch during a weekend workshop for some 650 teachers organized by the state Ministry of Education, the Nigerian Tribune reported Wednesday. Officials said a popular corporate caterer had supplied the lunch. There was no word on exactly what the teachers ate or the exact nature of the food poisoning.
