Rabat - Al Maghrib Today
Smartly dressed in a sharply tailored blazer adorned with elegant print, a matching black knee-length skirt and white stockings, Princess Lalla Salma shined at Rabat’s Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary on Tuesday during a homage ceremony to the memory of the late artist Mohamed Amine Demnati.
During this ceremony held under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the passing of Mohamed Amine Demnati and the release of his biography “Amine Demnati, Twenty-Nine Springs, One Summer,” Lalla Salma visited the exhibition of some works by the missing artist before heading to the auditorium.
The ceremony was marked by speeches by president of the National Foundation of Moroccan Museums Mehdi Qotbi, artist, painter, historian, and art critic Maurice Arama, and the author of the book and brother of the deceased Hassan Amine Demnati, who paid a heartfelt tribute to the artist.
The princess was greeted by Culture and Communication Minister Mohamed El Aaraj, the wali of the Rabat-Sale- Kénitra, the governor of Rabat prefecture Mohamed Mhidia, and the president of the regional council, Abdessamad Sekkal.
On social media, Lalla Salma’s sensational look was the main topic of discussion.
