The Health Ministry on Saturday reported a case of bird flu in Dakahlia governorate.

A 50-year-old man has been infected with bird flu and is being treated at Mansoura Chest hospital, the ministry said in a statement.

It urged citizens to take precautionary measures when dealing with live poultry and to rush to hospitals once they show any influenza symptoms. 

In Kafr el Sheikh, hospitals received five people suffering burn injuries, one of them seriously wounded, after a butane gas cylinder went off inside their house.
