Supreme Council For Family Affairs in Sharjah dedicated the proceeds of a cultural evening to Pink Caravan breast cancer awareness charity (PC), the initiative of the Friends of Cancer Patients Society (FoCP). The cultural night was held under the auspices of wife of the Ruler of Sharjah Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammad Al-Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and Honorary President of FoCP. Kuwaiti actress Suad Abduallah participated in the evening by reciting selected poems written by Arab poetesses, from various literary periods. Sheikha Jawaher praised the Supreme Council\'s initiative of choosing PC to receive the cultural evening\'s proceeds. \"We are proud that PC has finished its second year and is preparing to launch the third stage,\" Al-Qasimi said, adding \"we are delighted to know that the number of beneficiaries from the PC since its launching reached 1,600.\" PC is working to launch \"Al-Tamayyoz\" center for breast cancer at the University Hospital of Sharjah. PC is an initiative launched by FoCP in 2011, in celebration of its 19th anniversary, under the auspices of Sheikha Jawaher.
