Doha - MENA
The Qatari prime minister and foreign minister stressed on Sunday that the Palestinian cause will always remain a core issue for all Arabs until a just and comprehensive solution guaranteeing the legitimate rights of Palestinians is reached. "If it really wants peace, Israel has no other option but to accept a solution that guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital, said Sheikh Hamad ben Jassem ben Jaber al-Thani at the opening session of the Arab foreign ministers' meeting. He made clear that the continued Israeli settlement activities, the Judaization of al-Quds and repeated attacks on al-Haram al-Sharif violate international law and stir up more tension in the region. He urged the international community to shoulder its responsibility towards Palestineand to force Israel to end these serious violations and comply with Palestinian and Arab desire to reach peace.
