Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas today arrived in Moscow in a four-day visit to meet with Russian political and religious leaders. President Abbas, tomorrow will meet his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to discuss the political situation surrounding the Palestinian cause, in addition to bilateral relations and regional and international issues, Palestinian News Agency stated. President Abbas will also hold talks with the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Patriarch of Moscow, Patriarch of all Russia and Head of Fatwa Council in the Russian Federation, Sheikh Rawi Ain-Aldine. It is expected that a number of agreements will be signed between the two countries, especially cooperation agreements with Ministries of Interior, Health and Customs. President Abbas will meet St. Petersburg's leadership and Governor Georgy Poltavchenkoits, who visited Palestine last year, where various aspects of cooperation between the Government of St. Petersburg and the Palestinian cities will be discussed.
