Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived Wednesday evening in Rome on an official visit to Italy and the Vatican. Abbas was received by the heads of the protocol departments in Italy and the state of Vatican. Abbas is accompanied by some senior Palestinian officials such as Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki, and presidential spokesman Nabil abu Redina.
