Rome - MENA
Roma striker Mattia Destro is close to returning to the squad after being out with a knee injury for a total of six months. The 22-year-old first suffered his injury in January of this year and returned to Serie A play two months later, however, he found himself on the bench once again after aggravating his knee for a second time in July and has been out of the squad ever since, Forzaitalianfootball reported. Roma made a report on their official website on Tuesday and revealed that Destro had trained for some time during the day, as he recently returned from Barcelona with positive results from his physical tests, and he’s expected to gradually assimilate himself back into team training within the coming days. The Lupi currently sit on top of the Serie A table with a perfect start to the season and will be missing some important players for the next few weeks, including Francesco Totti and Gervinho, due to minor injuries
