His Majesty King Abdullah II on Saturday attended, in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah, a ceremony marking the Kingdom's 67th Independence Day. Also, Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, Senate President Taher Masri, Lower House Speaker Saad Srour, Judicial Council President Hisham Tal delivered speeches in which they highlighted the many achievements accomplished in the Kingdom under the Hashemite leadership. During the ceremony, King Abdullah bestowed medals and orders of various types upon several institutions and a group of distinguished figures in recognition of their efforts in supporting the Kingdom's ongoing development. The ceremony was attended by members of the Royal family, senior officials, high- ranking officers, a number of diplomats, political party leaders, unionists, and public figures.
