Gaza - KUNA
Ismail Haniyeh, the prime minister of deposed Palestinian government in Gaza Strip, reiterated Friday Hamas\' rejection of any attempt to settle Palestinians outside their own land. \"No alternative to the land of Palestine,\" Haniyeh said during the Friday sermon in Gaza mosque on the eve of the \"Day of Land\". He made it clear that Palestinians do not accept resettlement in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon or Egypt\'s Sinai Peninsula. Haniyeh stressed Hamas\' eagerness to end the Palestinian division and reach a reconciliation agreement with the rival Fatah movement. Land Day is marked March 30 of every year in commemoration of the deaths of six Palestinian protesters at the hands of Israeli police and troops during mass demonstrations in 1976 against plans to confiscate Arab land in Galilee.
