German Chancellor Angela Merkel is to visit Athens on April11amidsignsthatdebthitGreeceisslowlyrecovering from a long-runningeconomic crisis.A key part of her visit will be talks with Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, aspokesman for Merkel said Wednesday.The last time Merkel travelled to Athens was at the height of the eurozone debt crisisin October 2012, when she was confronted with angry demonstrators who said hercalls for fiscal austerity had helped to plunge the country into an economicmeltdown, German News Agency (DPA) reported.
