Lebanese Forces Party Head, Samir Geagea, considered that any return to the year 1960 electoral law would be a huge act of subversion. Geagea vowed that all efforts shall be pinned on preventing said law from passing in Parliament. Geagea's words came following a closed meeting with Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bshara Butros Al-Rai, in Bkirki on Saturday evening. Talks centered on the electoral law issue and the various stages it has crossed, thus far. "The cabinet session scheduled for upcoming Monday should look into necessary action for halting Hizbollah's interferences in Al-Qusair, due to the extremely negative implications of such involvement on Lebanon," stated Geagea. In addition, he indicated that discussions ought to focus on what should be done concerning the deteriorating situation in Tripoli as well. "As for the attempt to restore the year 1960 electoral law, it is utterly and categorically rejected," stressed Geagea.
