French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe

Moroccan and French businesses will co-organize joint economic forum in Benguerir featuring the attendance of French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe during his a three-day official visit to the kingdom next November.

The forum, which will take place on November 16 at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University of Benguerir, is expected to see the participation of several officials besides the French prime minister, including his Moroccan counterpart Saâd-Eddine El Othmani and ministers like Aziz Akhannouch and Moulay Hafid Elalamy.

The meeting, co-organized by the Moroccan General Confederation of Enterprises (CGEM) and the France-Morocco Business Leaders Club, in partnership with the Movement of French Enterprises (MEDEF) International, will revolve around the theme,“Morocco-France: Building Bridges for Growth and Employment.”

The forum aims to develop new areas of economic cooperation between the companies of the two countries and to explore the paths of a shared development in Africa.

According to the organizers, the forum will feature plenary sessions and thematic workshops on issues of urbanization and sustainable cities, inclusive agro-industrial development, and the opportunities of the digital revolution, as well as site visits.
