Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy arrived in Beijing Saturday on an official visit to China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. The three-day visit is part of Fahmy's Asian tour that will also take him to South Korea and Japan. Fahmy has praised Beijing's keenness on boosting ties with Cairo and its respect of Egyptian sovereignty and internal affairs. China is looking forward to playing an important role at the regional and international levels, Fahmy said prior to the visit.
