Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr left here for Doha Saturday on a three-day visit to Qatar. Amr said that he is going to take part in a meeting on reconstruction in Darfur, Sudan, in coordination with regional partners within the framework of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD). The top diplomat highlighted the role played by Egypt in providing aid to Darfur. Amr will also take part in the meeting of the Arab Peace Initiative Committee in the Arab League to form a delegation that is scheduled to hold talks with the US administration over the peace process in the Middle East. The meeting will take up Arab action within the peace process in conformity with the 11-year Arab Peace Initiative. The committee comprised Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Sudan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, and Qatar.
