His Majesty's Personal Representative and President of the Supreme Council for the Environment Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa today arrived in Jeddah to lead Bahrain's delegation to the 16th GCC environment ministers' meeting, scheduled to open tomorrow (Tuesday) in Jeddah Conference Palace. Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa was welcomed on arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Saudi Environmental Society Chief Executive Officer Prince Nawaf bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Jeddah-based Meteorology and Environment Protection Agency deputy director-general Saleh Mohammed Al-Shahri, Bahrain acting general consul Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Meselmani and other officials. Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa stressed his keenness on attending meetings which deal with environmental affairs and follow-up GCC cooperation regarding the protection of the environment of the Arabian Gulf region.
