Minister of Works Essam bin Abdulla Khalifa has paid a field visit to the roads and sanitary projects in Zallaq. He was accompanied by the member of the Southern Municipal Council Badr bin Saud Al-Dussary, the Assistant Undersecretary for Sanitary Engineering Khalifa Ebrahim Al-Mansoor, Director of Sanitary Engineering Planning & Projects Kadhim Abdullatif and number of the Ministry of Works\' engineers. The Minister said his visits were in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to follow up on the needs of the citizens across the kingdom\'s cities and villages and be informed about the obstacles impeding the speedy implementation of projects in order to resolve them immediately. He added that the Ministry of Works spared no efforts to provide quality services in order to cope with the urban boom currently witnessed by the kingdom, in accordance with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. He lauded the key role played by municipal councils in following up the citizens\' needs and proposing the suitable projects and plans. On his part, Badr al-Dossary highlighted the importance of speeding up the implementation of the harbour project, and submitted a number of proposals regarding revamp of roads, construction of new ones and establishment of new facilities, as well as sanitary projects.
