Flora Fauna by Josh Brill
American artist Josh Brill has seen his collection of tropical bird graphic prints snapped up by contemporary design store Habitat. The geometric designs in the ‘Flora Fauna' collection feature strong lines and bold colours against a minimalistic background
. Species included in the range include the Blue Jay, the Throated Hummingbird, the Western Tanager, the Mountain Bluebird, the Toco Toucann and the Pileated Woodpecker.
The selection has been chosen for Habitat from Brill's larger Flora Fauna collection for his personal design label Lumadessa, which catalogs the design identities of plants and animals from around the world.
Each of the designs is available in two size formats and is printed in France. The collection is available to buy from Habitat stores in France, Germany, Spain and Belgium and pricies start from €35.
Portland-based artist Brill graduated from Maine College of Art and has since been making a name for himself in the USA by having his work displayed at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston and the San Diego Museum of Art. The collaboration with Habitat is his first major commercial foray into the European design market.
