Special stamps on Women's Museum

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, attended a ceremony to release special stamps on Women's Museum issued by Emirates Post Group, EPG, in coordination with the Women's Museum, located near Gold Souq area, Dubai.

Present on the occasion were Saqr Ghobash, UAE Minister of Labour, Fahad Al Hosani, Acting CEO of EPG, Ibrahim Bin Karam, Chief Commercial Officer, EPG, and Dr. Rafia Ghobash, Director of the Museum, along with a number of dignitaries.

Fahad Al Hosani said the stamps celebrate the exhibits of the unique museum which highlights the significant role played by UAE women in the country's progress.

"Emirates Post Group is very pleased to join hands with Women's Museum to celebrate its uniqueness through these special stamps," said Mr Al Hosani. "The stamps reflect just some of the key elements of the museum, which is packed with historic documentations and images that take visitors back in history to trace the progress made by UAE women over the past few decades. We are confident that the stamps will spark greater interest among residents and tourists to visit the museum."¬¬

The stamps have been issued in five designs in denomination of Dh 3, along with a first day cover priced at Dh 16.

The Women's Museum is the first of its kind in the Arab world. EPG's release of the special stamps is an extension of its strategy of promoting major developments and milestones of the UAE through stamps, which are in high demand among local and international stamp collectors.
