Syrian governmental troops

Syrian governmental troops intensively raided a number of areas in Latikia's northeast countryside, as they clashes with Islamist factions, including Fatah Al Sham, in Jober district near the Syrian capital of Damascus. Opposition factions shelled areas in New Aleppo district, while the Syrian fighter jets bombarded areas in the western side of Aleppo and Aleppo's southern and western countryside amid reports over their advance in the city.

According to military source, the governmental troops achieved notable advance towards Assad Lake after clashes with ISIS militias, as the clashes continue in the surrounding areas of oil fields controlled by the extremist group and Palmyra's Bayarat district.

The governmental troops targeted Waar district with artillery attack, while the armed people responded with mortar shells against the governmental troops existed in the road linking between Homos and Tartos. The attacks led to the cut of the road for a short period of time.

According to Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 11 Islamist militants have been killed due to the intensive bombardment of Hama from the governmental troops that launches dozens of military raids in the area. The Syrian fighter jets also targeted the Bridge barrier in Hama's western countryside.

The Islamist factions targeted the governmental troops in Ramila village of Hama's southern countryside using mortar shells, as the governmental fighter jets launched raids on a number of areas in Hama 's northern countryside. The attacks led to the killing of three militants and the injury of others, including one activist.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the governmental fighter jets threw 42 bombing barrels on areas in Damascus' western countryside, as they opened the fire on the Syrian cities of Madaya and Bakeen in coincidence with the air raids. The governmental troops renewed their raids on areas at Zabadni city leading to material damages with no information about humanitarian losses.

In the same context, a Syrian officer loyal to President Bashar Al Assad has been killed duringthe clashes witnessed in Daraa's Manshia district. The clahes coincided with intensive bombardment from the governmental fighter jets against a large number of areas in the city.

On the other hand, Geneva conference is scheduled to be launched on Thursday to discuss the political solution for the Syrian crisis under the sponsorship of the United Nations. The conference will be attended by the delegations of the Syrian regime and opposition. The conference will discuss the ways to consolidate the cease-fire and the future of political situation in the country.
