One of the victims On Thursday morning, three Palestinians were killed and three others were wounded in an Israeli bombardment on the town of Beit Hanoun, raising the toll of the Israeli escalation in Gaza Strip since dawn to six martyrs. Eyewitnesses said that Israeli artillery shell was fired at some citizens near the agriculture college east Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip, which led to the death of three citizens and the injury of three others.
Israeli occupation forces declared the arrival of ambulance and opened fire at the paramedics who rushed to the scene, before they could enter the area later and recover the bodies of the martyrs. The wounded were taken to Kamal Adwan hospital in the northern sector. Brothers Ihab and Akram Za'anin were amongst the ones killed in addition to Tariq Kafarna, all who are in their twenties.
The Israeli occupation forces moved in Beit Hanoun in a limited way and conducted search operations in the agricultural lands.
Commenting on the bombing, the Israeli army spokesman alleged that Israeli aircrafts and tanks bombed a Palestinian group that was planting explosives near the electronic fence in the northern Gaza Strip without direct casualties.
Last night, three citizens were killed and another seriously wounded in an Israeli raid on a group of fighters who were travelling in a civilian car in the Maghazi refugee camp at the center of Gaza Strip.
Eyewitnesses reported: "Israeli shelling resulted in the death and injury of civilians who were transferred to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah."
According to Dr. Achraf el- Koudra the spokesman of the Health Ministry, the martyrs were dead when they reached Al-Aqsa hospital. He confirmed that the fourth civilian is seriously injured. The martyrs are "Khaled Al- Karm, Khalil Al- Gorba and Zakaria Al-Gamal.”
Khalil Al-Gorba who had been married for six months was amongst those shot dead, living behind a heavily pregnant wife. Khalil’s brother Marwan al-Gorba was also killed in Israeli artillery bombardment on April 14 2010
This morning, the Israeli forces moved into the southern Gaza Strip from the Gate of Abu Rida, east of the village of Khuza'a, amid intensive firing on civilian homes.
Eyewitnesses said that six bulldozers and three heavy military vehicles went from the mentioned gate towards Haj Mohammad Lake and Al Amour neighbourhood, conducting searches and firing openly.
The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, said that the aim of the Israeli escalation on Gaza Strip is to escape from Israeli internal social problems, to achieve superiority through the deterrence of the Palestinian resistance, and send messages to Egypt to know its stance of any aggression on Gaza.
The occupation has escalated its attacks on the citizens in Gaza Strip, as Israeli aircrafts carried two raids last night and this morning on two groups of citizens, which led to the death of six citizens and the injury of others.
One of the leaders in Hamas movement, Dr. Salah al-Bardawil said in radio statement that the Israeli occupation wants to feel the superiority stating: “The occupation wants to convince itself that it is still able to curb the resistance."
Al-Bardawil called on the Palestinian resistance to make the Israeli enemy reconsider its position, he said: "The role of the resistance is to defend the Palestinian people and to prepare for the battle to liberate Palestine."
The spokesman of the Ministry of Interior and National Security, Islam Shahwan said that the Zionist enemy sheds the Palestinian blood in Gaza Strip to cover the Israeli internal disputes.
Shahwan said: "We view this seriously in the Ministry of Interior," calling on all members of the security services to announce a state of alert and take the highest degree of caution.
Shahwan stressed that the targeting of civilians and children, "will not affect our internal front, which the Zionist enemy is trying to confuse, targeting some of the security headquarters and civilian areas."
