ISIS extremist militants have put tens of security barriers in five districts of Mousl’s right bank to inspect the identification cards of the passers and their mobiles in coincidence with artillery shelling from the Iraqi forces against the group’s strongholds.
Security sources revealed that the Iraqi forces targeted ISIS strongholds in Mousl’s right bank, as the militants attempt to infiltrate to the liberated areas of the city’s left bank to carry out terrorist operations there.
It added, “The Iraqi forces continue to strengthen their positions in the surrounding areas of the Tigris River. Life began to return to normal in most districts of Mousl’s left bank.” He clarified that the number of extremist militants working with ISIS in the right bank is about 1700.
On the other hand, Iraqi Tribes Conference has been launched in Baghdad Saturday in the framework of the efforts exerted to achieve national reconciliation in Iraq. The conference witnessed political and tribal participation.
Head on Iraqi National Alliance Amar Al Hakim warned of the repercussions of the current violence and lack of confidence between the citizen and government, stressing the need for taking serious steps to achieve the national settlement project during the coming period. He said, “National settlement is not a decision, while a project, as we can retreat from our decisions but we cannot do the same with the projects.”
He stressed, “The national settlement should be inclusive and not to ignore any Iraqi faction, It is not a project end the conflict between Shiites and Sunnis only, but to achieve settlement for all components of the Iraqi community.”
He added that the main objective of this project is to build a state of justice for all Iraqis not to satisfy specific faction at the expense of others. He called for launching this project on the basis of the victories the Iraqis achieved, including the draft of Iraqi constitution and the elections.
