Hezbollah’s media relations issued a statement saying European Eutelsat’s decision to stop broadcasting 19 Iranian state television channels on the Hotbird satellite violates freedoms of the West and breaches the rules governing international
information sector. It also does not relate to any acceptable logic and cannot be justified by the managers of this company.
The statement added that it is remarkable that the French company claims that its decision is a result of EU pressures, which has been awarded the Noble Peace Prize a few days ago, but then undermines all human rights to free speech within the legal framework.
It further added that such tyrannical decisions will not hide the truth and will not prevent the targeted channels from finding means of keeping themselves alive with honest and correct stances - despite the procedures against them by the West and its Arab followers.
The statement also stated that the media relations in Hezbollah condemns this European media crime and denounces the attempts to mute all the voices and prevent expression of opinion. It showed complete solidarity with all media sources that were subject to this ban and invited the officials of the European company to withdraw their tyrant decision which destroys whatever credibility is left of these companies.
