Chairman of the Elections Supreme Commission, Judge Ibrahim Abdel Moez announced that the percentage of votes in the run-off elections for the Shura Council in the second round reached
7.2 percent by 774, 000 voters.
Abdel Moez said that should there be any judiciary sentences to be issued regarding the elections, they will be implemented, stressing that the committee carried out its work fully and is satisfied with the electoral process.
He added, during a press conference held in Cairo, Saturday, said that those appointed in the Shura Council will be selected by the coming elected president based on the constitutional declaration stating that appointments in Shura are of the jurisdiction of the president and not of the Supreme Council of Armed Forces, which has already chosen those appointed in the People\'s Assembly.
Regarding the amendment of article no. 28 of the presidency law, Abdel Moez said that it is the responsibility of head of the election committee Fouad Sultan and if it is to be amended, this should be according to a law.
Abdel Moez said that the Freedom and Justice Party won the largest number of votes, followed by Nour Party, Wafd and finally the Egyptian bloc.
