Member of EU parliament Mario Borghezio accused Head of Libya’s State Council Abdul Rahman Al Suhaili of holding meetings with leaders of extremist group of Qaeda in Tunis and Misrata before the recent attack that targeted the Oil Crescent area.
He added, in his message before the EU Parliament, “Suhaili met secretly with leaders of Qaeda in Tunis and Misrata immediately before the attack that targeted the Oil crescent area.”
He also condemned Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini for covering the violations committed by the internationally-recognized National Accordance government despite suspicions over its relations with the extremist groups, including Qaeda.
Libya’s Head of State Council Abdul Rahman Al Suhaili held a formal visit to Tunisia on February 22, as he met with a number of Tunisian officials, including Tunisian Speakers of parliament Mohamed Al Nasser. The visit was promoted then as an attempt to discuss the ways to resolve the Libyan crisis with the Tunisian officials in the frameworks of the Tunisian efforts to resolve the Libyan crisis.
