60 Arab and foreign countries to discuss the Global March to Jerusalem
Representatives from 60 Arab and foreign countries are to discuss the Global March to Jerusalem on Sunday, at a conference to be held in Amman. They will look into the preparations for the
march that will emerge from four Arab countries towards Palestine.
The General Coordinator of the March, Dr. Rebhi Halloum, said in a press release that the conference will look into the details and activities of marches which will start in various capitals of the world coinciding with the major one that will emanate from Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.
Halloum said that demonstrations and sit-ins will be held before Israeli embassies around the world to express rejection of the occupation and its practices in Palestine.
The conference will announce a global statement issued by 150 international figures, which highlights the importance of Jerusalem and demonstrates that changing its entity would be a crime against humanity.
For his part, Abdullah Obeidat, President of Jordan Engineers Association, said that the Jordanian Unions and Parties will hold a national forum to support the March and contribute to it with all possible efforts and energies. He also confirmed that the GMJ is a civilized and peaceful event.
