Several Egyptian political parties and movements called for a million-man protest on Friday in Cairo’s Tahrir Square against violent attacks by SCAF on protesters, while other
Egyptian parties announced appealed against it.
The demonstrators have begun arriving in Tahrir Square, Friday morning, demanding that SCAF hand over power to civilians, dismiss Ganzouri’s Government, form an independent commission to investigate the violence and release all detainees in the military trail.
It’s worth mentioning that the parties and movements that called for the ‘Friday of hounour’ include: Al- Wasat Party, Al- Adl Party, Egyptian Social Democratic Party the Egyptian Current party, the Egyptian Liberal party, the Revolutionary Socialists, the April 6 youth movement and the Revolutionary Youth Coalition, Kefaia movement, Abdel Moneim Aboul Fotouh presidential campaign and Maspero Youth Union.
The Muslim Brotherhood however announced it will not be involved in today’s movement.
