Egyptians voters head to polls Cairo – Akram Ali Egyptians voters head to polls, today, in 4 constituencies, which court annulled and required to be held again, to resolve the 11 seats, in Dakahlia, Qaliubiya , Qena, and South Sinai. Same candidates run for these elections.
The elections were competitive and monitors witnessed many violations. In Dakahliya, most judges arrived late, something that happens for the first time, which led polling station to open their doors more than an hour after the legal opening times.
In Qalubiyya, vote buying was witnessed. Candidates distributed supplies and cash to the voters. The ways of National Party candidate spread again because of the few numbers of voters and the vote price ranged between 50-75 pounds for the citizens.In addition, near polling station electoral propaganda was witnessed.
Violations were committed by supporters of candidates from Al-Nour party and Freedom and Justice party, in addition to other independent candidates.
