Arab League Envoy to Sudan Salah Halima Arab League Envoy to Sudan Salah Halima said on Tuesday that the organisation is coordinating with Khartoum to hold a meeting in Cairo from March 18 to 21 to discuss the humanitarian assistance to Kordofan.  
Halima told “Arabstoday” that Arab League will present a group of projects to help Kordofan population, stressing that the situation there needs aids.
Within the same context, Sudanese government made conditions that organisations working in the field of humanitarian must coordinate with relevance departments to access aid to South Kordofan and Darfur. At time humanitarian aid commission in the state reveals that a plan was set for humanitarian intervention particularly in the field of sheltering, health and provision of water service in collaboration with UN agencies. Sudan's presidential adviser Mustafa Othman Ismail said in a press release that he discussed with Arab league representative Salah Halima on Tuesday humanitarian assistance provided by Arab league for affected population in south Kordofan and efforts it exerted to maintain sustainable peace in Darfur.
On the Sudanese government conditions related to humanitarian access and the importance of coordinating with official concerned departments Ismail noted that the conditions imposed aim to make sure that aid reaches affected population and not be easily confiscated by insurgents.
For his part humanitarian commissioner in the state Haroun Mohammed Abd Allah stated that the humanitarian plan was suggested based on surveying assessment prepared by the government in coordination with UN agencies. The commissioner affirmed that humanitarian situation in the state is stable assuring that the government insisted that it opposes entry of new organisations in the state however he highlights readiness to cooperate with UN agencies already operating  in the area .
