Syrian rebels have kidnapped ten people - seven Armenians and three Arab Christians, who were traveling from Aleppo to Beirut, an Armenian channel reported. The abductors want 150 of their colleagues to be released within three
days. They threatened to kill the abductees if their demand is not met.
Some identities have been released, among the kidnapped are: Garo Bambaglian, Arsen Oaan, Levon Zionyan, and Bashar, George Rabat (father and son).
A source in the Armenian Tashnag Party told Arabstoday: “We cannot confirm or deny the information, but we have been informed that some Armenian nationals trying to escape Aleppo have been delayed.”
A special cell has been created to investigate these abductions.
