A similar previous blast in Islamabad (archive)   Islamabad – Gamal Al-Saedi  At least 27 Pakistanis including a 12-year-old child were killed in a suicide bomb attack performed by a 25-year-old man. The young man blew himself up, near a busy commercial market specialised in selling mobile phones in Pakistan. Body parts were strewn everywhere at the scene, and the injured were transferred to the nearest hospital.
Residents went to the site of the explosion in order to identify the corpses. However, more were injured while protesting at the site of explosion, when police dispersed the demonstration by firing shots.
Meanwhile, witnesses said: \"The bomb exploded before reaching the target location which is a mosque in the bazaar.\"
Dozens of shops and stores were damaged in the blast, while security forces spread everywhere immediately and imposed curfew.
Though unconfirmed, the Pakistani Taliban is believed to be responsible for the attack.
