Two ships sailed into Safaga port on Saturday with 2,209 tourists on board.
The tourists will be visiting archaeological sites in Luxor and Aswan, said Malak Youssef, the media spokesman for the Red Sea Ports Authority.
Head of the Red Sea Ports Authority Hisham Abu Senna, meanwhile, urged workers at the port to facilitate entry measures to ensure the comfort of passengers.
