Chinese action thriller "My Ten Million" is set to premiere in late April.
The film centers around a road adventure of a father and a son. In the story, they are on a quest to rescue a rich man's daughter in exchange for a bounty.
A one-minute trailer was released yesterday, and suggests a somewhat male-dominated all-action film. The trailer shows only one female character, and she's in a supporting role, not unlike the 007 franchise.
However, the director has said the plot is much more complex than it would appear from the trailer. The seemingly unimportant female role is apparently key to the ending. The story has multiple plot lines and the producers promise more surprises than pure excitement.
The father and son in the film will be played by Hong Kong actor Paul Chun, and his son, Chiang Man-Kit.
