The 21-year-old singer joins Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Cyndi Lauper and Elton John as a spokesmodel for the brand. MAC revealed Cyrus' first ad for the cosmetics line on Wednesday.
MAC's Viva Glam campaign raises funds for the MAC AIDS Fund. Cyrus will promote the latest Viva Glam lipstick and lipgloss, and 100 percent of the products' sales price is donated to the fund. The campaign has raised over $300 million since its inception in 1994.
The MAC AIDS Fund works to prevent HIV/AIDS through education, and provides care for those affected by the disease. The campaign has partnered with UNICEF, AIDS United, the Clinton Health Access Initiative and Project Open Hand, among others.
Cyrus released her fourth studio album, Bangerz, in October 2013, and recently finished her tour to promote the record. She kicked off the Bangerz tour February 14 in Vancouver, Canada, and closed out in Perth, Australia on October 23.
