Beirut - Suleiman Asfhani
The Lebanese singer, Wael Kfoury, has told Arabstoday that choosing him as the best and most popular singer is a “result of both the people’s and God’s love.” The accolade was bestowed on him after a survey was carried out in Lebanon and other Arab countries. He added that he “will never stop caring about [his] art and awards, such as this survey, only doubling the responsibility" on him to continue. Wael also revealed that the Rotana Company for Audios and Videos did not refuse to air the video for “Ya Deli ya Rohi” (My Refuge, My Soul). He said that the video which had been broadcast on their music channel for the same song was a collection of clips from many of concerts and festivals where he has performed, but it will not replace the original video at all. Wael added that a great bond still exists with director Saied el-Marouk and nothing has change in this regard.
