Actor Jamie Dornan denied rumors that he's quitting the Fifty Shades franchise in a statement released by his rep on Wednesday.
"Jamie is delighted that the film is breaking box office records worldwide and whilst the studio has not made any formal announcements about sequels, he is looking forward to making the next film," Dornan's people told ABC News.
The statement comes a day after Australian magazine NW reported the Northern Irish actor was quitting the franchise before the production of the upcoming films out of consideration for his wife, Amelia Warner.
Dornan played the title character Christian Grey in the first of three movie adaptations of E.L. James' erotic novels, Fifty Shades of Grey, opposite to Dakota Johnson. The film has been atop the North American box office since its release on Feb. 13.
Before the film's debut, Dornan said Warner did not want to watch it because of his intense scenes with Johnson.
The cast and production team for the sequels The Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed has not yet been revealed.
