Gwen Stefani has two new albums in the works.
The 44-year-old singer revealed the news to MTV at her L.A.M.B. show at New York Fashion Week. Stefani told the network she "is thinking about music a lot," and said she will release a new solo album and an album with No Doubt.
"At this point I'm thinking about both, I can do both," she shared. "And it's just an amazing time; so many opportunities. I'm going into the studio tonight with Pharrell [Williams], I'm going to be writing and also just seeing what comes along my way. I've been recording a few things."
Stefani last released The Sweet Escape in 2006. The album is her second solo effort, and a followup to 2004's Love. Angel. Music. Baby. The singer and her band, No Doubt, debuted their sixth studio album, Push and Shove, in 2012. The record heralded the group's comeback, as they had last released Rock Steady in 2001.
In addition to music and her fashion line, L.A.M.B., Stefani is currently involved in television. The singer will debut as a coach on The Voice when the reality competition returns to NBC on September 22. Williams is also a first-time judge, and told MTV Stefani's new music is on "another level."
