Actors Gina Carano and T.J. Miller have been confirmed for the upcoming superhero flick Deadpool.
The film stars Ryan Reynolds as the title character, an assassin diagnosed with cancer who undergoes a procedure that would reportedly cure him, but ends up scarred and with powers. The actor first played the role in the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carano will play an underground mutant from the Marvel universe. Miller's role has not yet been disclosed, but will allegedly provide comedic relief to the film.
Carano, a former MMA star, is best known for her roles in Haywire and Fast & Furious 6. Miller, on the other hand, has been seen in Transformers Age of Extinctions and was a voice actor in Disney's Big Hero Six and in DreamWorks' How To Train Your Dragon.
Deadpool will be helmed by Tim Miller and will begin production in Vancouver in March.
