Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa

A high-level meeting was held today to discuss ways of employing graduated doctors in the public and private sectors. Supreme Council for Health (SCH) President Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa chaired the session, in the presence of Health Minister Faeqa Said Al-Saleh, Undersecretary Dr. Aisha Mubarak Bu’unq and other senior officials.

The SCH President valued the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa to employ Bahraini graduates in the health sector, stressing the leadership’s keenness on promoting young national cadres. He said that Bahrain’s national health plan (2015-2016) aims to assess the needs of the sector in qualified staff and develop human resources.

He directed to set up a joint team between the SCH High Training Committee and the human resources departments at public hospitals to explore the best ways of finding employment opportunities for local competences and overcoming obstacles that prevent graduates from finding jobs in the health sector.

Al-Saleh also reiterated the ministry’s keenness on recruiting Bahraini health competences to work at different medical facilities and contribute to developing the sector. "The ministry accords great importance to the issue of unemployed health graduates and the need of finding vacancies to integrate them in the sector", she said.
