Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan

Labour and Social Development Minister Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan paid a visit today to A’ali Charity Society, in the presence of a number of ministry officials, where he met the society Board Chairman Adel Al Sater, board members and citizens.

The visit is in line with the directives of the leadership to assess the needs of villages and towns in Bahrain and cater for them. It also aims to support charity societies for their outstanding role in serving citizens and reaching out to their needs.

The Labour and Social Development Minister was briefed on the society’s services and programmes and listened to proposals by the citizens in A’ali and the society board members which aim to boost charity work in Bahrain, in general, and in A’ali, in particular. He also toured the society’s facilities and got informed about the main summer activities and programmes organised for the youngsters to occupy them during the school vacation and equip them with additional skills in arts and handicrafts.

The Labour and Social development Minister stressed the ministry’s keenness on cooperation with the society, emphasising the role of voluntary and charity work in raising citizens’ awareness of the services planned by the government for them. He also asserted keenness to streamline authorisation procedures for charity societies to raise funds according to existing laws and regulations.

On their part, the society Board Chairman and members and citizens from A’ali hailed the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to ensure services are provided for all citizens across Bahrain. They also hailed the efforts of the Labour and Social Development Ministry to boost the principle of social partnership in assessing citizens’ needs and catering for them.
