Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah says a study by the World Bank in four areas has revealed a need for enhancements in government expenditure. The four areas studied were education, high education, health and subsidy allocation while the aspects taken into account were Malaysia\'s income that should continue rising and prudent spending, he said. The enhancements in government expenditure should be able to achieve the desired level of effectiveness and efficiency, he told reporters in Kampung Tengku Hussein Lama, Gugusan Manjoi. \"In the context of the study, it was found that our prudent spending practices had grown,\" he said, adding that the government planned to ask the World Bank to conduct a similar study on other sectors and ministries.
