The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issues an exceptional tender on Sunday to sell 500 million dollars to banks to help meet import requirements.

Bankers said the sale price of the dollar has not been determined yet

The CBE offers three tenders to sell dollars to banks weekly, on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday of each week, in which the dollar price is determined by the CBE and thus in banks and exchange companies.

But this time the value of the tender is bigger than usual to cover needs of imports.
