Seoul - Yonhap
South Korea's bank lending rates for new loans dropped to a record low last month amid a fall in bank interest rates, central bank data showed Monday.
The average rate for new loans to households, companies and other organizations reached 4.18 percent in August, down 0.21 percentage point from the previous month, according to the Bank of Korea (BOK). It is the lowest since the central bank began compiling the data in 1996.
