The 10th International Conference on Mobile Mapping Technology kicked off on Saturday at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in Alexandria.

The event, dubbed "Mobile Mapping for Sustainable ‎Development", is hosted by AASTMT in collaboration with Canada's University of Calgary.

Held for the first time in Egypt, the inauguration of the conference was attended by Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed el Assar, Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram, Minister of Transport Hesham Arafat and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Yasser el Kady.
