NASA says Foursquare users can earn a Mars Curiosity Explorer \"badge\" by liking NASA on Foursquare and checking in at a NASA visitor center. Users of the social media platform can also earn the badge by checking in at a venue categorized as a science museum or planetarium, the space agency said Thursday. Upon earning the badge, Foursquare users will be greeted with the following message: \"Get out your rock-vaporizing laser! You\'ve explored your scientific curiosities just like NASA\'s Curiosity rover on Mars. Stay curious and keep exploring. You never know what you\'ll find.\" Foursquare awards \"badges\" to its users for checking in from specific types of places multiple times. The partnership between Foursquare and NASA began in 2010 when a NASA astronaut performed the first outer space \"check-in\" on Foursquare from the International Space Station. In October NASA\'s Mars Curiosity rover \"checked-in\" with Foursquare, the first check-in from another planet.
