Malaysia is asking Google to block access to an anti-Muslim video clip blamed for sparking mob attacks against U.S. embassies and consulates across the Middle East. Information Minister Rais Yatim said late Saturday that Malaysian authorities want the clip removed from YouTube because of the \"explosive commotions and repercussions at hand.\" Google owns YouTube, the online video sharing site. YouTube has blocked the clip in Libya and Egypt, citing \"the very sensitive situations\" there. It also blocked it in India and Indonesia after their governments told YouTube the video broke their laws. The short film \"Innocence of Muslims,\" produced in the U.S., denigrates Islam and the Prophet Muhammad. It has been blamed for playing a role in violence in Libya, where the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans were killed.
